Komatsu Ltd. (“Komatsu”) hereby announces that Komatsu resolved at a meeting of its Board of Directors held on October 29, 2024, to voluntarily adopt International Financial Reporting Standards (“IFRS”) for its consolidated financial statements in place of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“U.S.GAAP”), in order to improve international comparability of its financial information in the capital markets.
Komatsu plans to disclose its consolidated financial statements under IFRS from the first quarter of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2029. The planned schedule for voluntary adoption of IFRS is as follows:
