How can a machine help protect people from dangerous landmines?

Machine engineering and technology that help extract materials essential to daily life are also helping preserve lives and reclaim land. At customer sites around the world, Komatsu dozers merge decades of engineering expertise with cutting-edge technology to carry out their work with power, precision and efficiency.
The results shape much of our modern life, providing core minerals that power our cellphones and new generations of electric vehicles.

Some of the same engineering advancements at the core of everyday use of Komatsu dozers and excavators was then put to use for an entirely different challenge: helping rid countries of landmines resulting from wars and other conflicts.

How can trees be planted more efficiently to combat global warming?

For decades, Komatsu equipment has supported the maintenance of healthy forests. Leveraging sophisticated automation, design and engineering, our forestry machines move with precision and care to remove diseased trees, harvest mature ones and, most recently, plant saplings. 
With our acquisition of Bracke Forest AB in 2022, we brought in-house additional capabilities to further development of mechanized planting methods as we look to help find new ways to meet the “endless need” for healthy trees  to combat climate change. In collaboration with forestry customers and nonprofit reforestation partners, our work continues to a advance development of sustainable forest machines for the future.
