CONEXPO 2023 is on the horizon and Komatsu is preparing to reveal its latest and greatest at this year’s show, to be held in Las Vegas, U.S., from March 14 through 18. Held every three years, CONEXPO is one of the world's largest construction equipment trade fairs along with Germany's bauma ― where Komatsu exhibited last October.
Komatsu’s first exhibition at CONEXPO was in 1981 in Houston, U.S., where we demonstrated our technological capabilities with the concept "Komatsu the Total Machine” to highlight our role as a full-line manufacturer of construction equipment. 40 years on, we remain focused on the cutting edge of construction equipment and technologies, both of which will be highlighted at this year’s show.

Through our show theme of "Creating value together”, which is also the Komatsu brand promise, we plan to highlight the many ways we partner with our customers and other industry leaders to help further advance the world of construction equipment. With particular focus on technology implementation, workforce optimization and a more sustainable future, we strive to meet customers where they are and support at all levels.
At CONEXPO 2023, Komatsu will bring to life applications of its Smart Construction solutions, revealing how we can help improve productivity at customers' sites.
Komatsu’s Smart Construction solutions help businesses transform job sites through predictability by merging advanced automation and integrated technologies. Projects can go more smoothly when robust data is easily shared, replicated and updated.
Production processes at quarries and other sites can also be visualized through similar solutions, which help customers gain a better understanding of their operation. Through job site studies that provide valuable data, customers are better able to meet or exceed production targets. Solutions with continual production monitoring can help increase efficiency, maintain performance at a high level and further improve production.

For 10 years, Komatsu’s intelligent machine control (IMC) has been helping customers automate parts of their work, capabilities that will be on display through IMC-equipped machines including the PC360LCi and D71PXi. Thanks to these continually advancing technologies, IMC machines can handle maneuvers such as moving the cutting edge along the ground using positional information and accumulated construction data, requiring less skill from the operator.
Upgrades will also be on display, such as Smart Construction Retrofit, a technology upgrade that brings machine guidance to existing conventional equipment. Retrofitting machine guidance can help customers effectively measure payload volume and load counts to prevent overloading, and can provide a cost-effective way to improve grading performance and reduce re-handling of materials.
